Call Forwarding Setup

Forward calls from your existing number to Zio Voice in minutes. Choose your carrier below.

AT&T Wireless

  1. 1Open the Phone app on your AT&T device.
  2. 2Dial *72 followed by your Zio Voice number (e.g., *72+15551234567) and press Call.
  3. 3Wait for a confirmation tone or message. Your calls are now forwarded.
  4. 4To disable: dial *73 and press Call.
Note: AT&T also supports conditional forwarding (when busy or unanswered). Dial *71 to forward when busy, or *67 to forward when unanswered.

AT&T Landline / Business Line

  1. 1Pick up the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
  2. 2Dial *72 and wait for three short beeps.
  3. 3Dial your Zio Voice number and press #.
  4. 4Wait for a confirmation tone. Hang up.
  5. 5To disable: lift the receiver, dial *73, wait for confirmation tone, hang up.

Verizon Wireless

  1. 1Open the Phone app on your Verizon device.
  2. 2Dial *72 followed by your Zio Voice number (e.g., *72+15551234567) and press Send/Call.
  3. 3You will hear a confirmation tone or announcement.
  4. 4To disable unconditional forwarding: dial *73 and press Send.
  5. 5For forwarding when busy: dial *90 + your Zio Voice number.
  6. 6For forwarding when unanswered: dial *92 + your Zio Voice number.
Note: On some Verizon plans, call forwarding must be enabled through My Verizon account settings or via customer support.

Verizon Landline / FiOS

  1. 1Pick up the handset.
  2. 2Dial *72 and wait for a stutter dial tone.
  3. 3Dial your Zio Voice number and press #.
  4. 4Wait for a confirmation beep and hang up.
  5. 5To disable: dial *73 and wait for confirmation.

T-Mobile / Sprint

  1. 1Open the Phone app.
  2. 2Dial **21*[YourZioVoiceNumber]# and press Call to forward all calls.
  3. 3Example: **21*+15551234567# then press Call.
  4. 4You will see a confirmation message on screen.
  5. 5To disable: dial ##21# and press Call.
  6. 6For forwarding when unanswered (recommended): dial **61*[YourZioVoiceNumber]# then press Call.
  7. 7To disable conditional forward: dial ##61# and press Call.
Note: T-Mobile merged with Sprint in 2020. Former Sprint customers should use the same codes above.

Google Voice

  1. 1Sign in to voice.google.com.
  2. 2Click the Settings gear icon in the top right.
  3. 3Select Calls > Call Forwarding.
  4. 4Click Add a forwarding phone and enter your Zio Voice number.
  5. 5Google will call your Zio Voice number to verify. Answer and enter the code shown on screen.
  6. 6Toggle the number to ON so calls are forwarded.
Note: Google Voice forwards to multiple numbers simultaneously. You can toggle Zio Voice on/off without removing it from your account.

RingCentral

  1. 1Log in to your RingCentral Admin Portal at service.ringcentral.com.
  2. 2Navigate to Phone System > Groups > Call Queues (or Users > your extension).
  3. 3Select the extension or queue you want to forward.
  4. 4Under Call Handling, select After Hours or Always.
  5. 5Choose Forward Calls and enter your Zio Voice number.
  6. 6Click Save.
Note: For personal extensions: go to My Extension > Settings > Call Handling & Forwarding in the RingCentral app.

Vonage Business

  1. 1Log in to the Vonage Business admin portal.
  2. 2Navigate to Admin > Extensions.
  3. 3Click on the extension you want to configure.
  4. 4Under Call Forwarding, click Add Forwarding Number.
  5. 5Enter your Zio Voice number and select Always Forward or When Unavailable.
  6. 6Click Save Changes.

Generic VoIP / SIP Providers

  1. 1Log in to your VoIP provider's admin portal or softphone settings.
  2. 2Look for Call Forwarding, Redirection, or Call Routing under your extension settings.
  3. 3Set the forwarding destination to your Zio Voice number.
  4. 4Choose the condition: Always, On No Answer, On Busy, or On Unavailable.
  5. 5Save and test by calling your number from another phone. You should hear your Zio Voice AI greeting.
Note: If your provider uses star codes, try *72 + your Zio Voice number (unconditional) or *61 + number (no answer). Check your provider's documentation for exact codes.

Test your setup

  1. 1. Complete forwarding setup above for your carrier.
  2. 2. Call your business number from a different phone.
  3. 3. You should hear your Zio Voice AI assistant answer with your configured greeting.
  4. 4. If the call goes to voicemail instead, double-check the forwarding was saved correctly.
